BY MAKING A BOOKING WITH THE GROOMING STUDIO, YOU AGREE TO THE TERMS & CONDITIONS AS SET OUT BELOW:

 

 

1. Groomer Safety

As a lone groomer I prioritise my safety by choosing not to groom aggressive dogs. If a dog groomer has ever refused to groom your dog, asked you to collect your dog before the groom was completed, asked you to stay while your dog was groomed or advised you that your dog growled, bit or attempted to bite, you MUST let me know. I can recommend a suitable groomer if required. I reserve the right to refuse a dog that presents a risk of injury to itself or to me.

2. Cancellations & No-Shows

Short notice cancellations and no-shows leave empty space in my diary which could have otherwise been filled. To avoid this, I ask that any cancellations are made at least 2 working days in advance. Failure to adhere to this policy will result in a 50% cancellation fee, and future appointments will need to be paid for upfront in full to secure an appointment.

 

 

3. Payments

Full payment is due upon collection of your dog.

 

 

4. Time Keeping

As a one-on-one grooming service it is very important that appointments run on schedule. You are expected to pick up your dog within 15 minutes of receiving notice that your dog is ready. A late collection fee will be charged for dogs not collected on time. Arriving more than 15 minutes late to your appointment without giving notice may result in a cancellation. If you think you will be late, please call in advance to advise. 

 

 

5. Your Pet’s Health & Welfare

By attending the appointment, you confirm that your dog is fit and healthy. Grooming of sick and/or elderly dogs is entirely at owner’s risk. Grooming may expose underlying skin or health conditions that I cannot be held liable for.

6. Nails

Some dogs find nail trimming very stressful. If I'm unable to cut your dogs nails, no discount will be given.

7. Vet Care

I endeavour to provide the best service possible, however in the rare case of an accident, the dog owner agrees for The Grooming Studio to transport their dog to the nearest vet for treatment if required.

8. Fleas 

I do not groom dogs with fleas. If fleas have been found on your dog and I have not been informed of the possibility of your dog having fleas, an additional cost of £30 (on top of the groom price) will be incurred to pay for the products required to treat the salon and prevent cross contamination to other dogs. 

 

 

9. Anal Glands

I do not preform anal gland expression. Please seek treatment from your vet for this.

 

 

10. Groom Feedback

If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of your dog’s groom, please let me know ASAP. I welcome feedback, and this can be reported to me directly.

 

 

11. Photos and Videos

If you are not happy with photos or videos of your dog/s on social media or my website please confirm this to me directly.

 

 

12. Routine appointments

Routine appointments are important. Any dogs who are booked in over the recommended time scale may incur an extra charge due to the extra hair growth and extra time needed. Most dogs, dependant on breed need regular grooming every 4-8 weeks. 

 

 

MATTING POLICY 

I will always ensure your dog is comfortable and will not cause discomfort by excessive de-matting. I reserve the right to remove the dogs coat with clippers if I feel that de-matting will cause stress.

 

Shaving of dogs will change their appearance and the hair will be very short and close to the skin. This may expose pre-existing skin conditions which I will not be held liable for.

 

I will not be held liable for any conditions arising following the clipping of a dog. Examples are, but not limited to, redness, irritation, nicks from the blade from clipping so close to the skin from the neglect of the dogs coat not being maintained at home.

 

Extra charges will apply if there is substantial matting. This covers the extra time it takes, the use of specialist tools and wear on the equipment used.

 

I accept no responsibility for any vet fees if health issues are exposed when clipping off a matted coat.

 

By booking and attending an appointment with The Grooming Studio I have permission to shave your dog/s if required.
